Line Components

1. Coil Car & Decoiler

• Hydraulic coil car places up to 25 ton coils onto the mandrel decoiler.

2. Tension Leveler

• Multi-bar leveler removes residual warp, ensuring flat strip entry.

3. Slitting Section

• Upper and lower rotary knives shear the strip into programmed widths with quick-release knife holders.

4. Recoiler

• Dual recoilers with variable-frequency drives maintain consistent tension and coil build.

5. Scrap Management

• Edge trimmers collect waste for a shear-chopper unit that cuts scrap into uniform lengths for recycling.

Performance and Control

Strain gauges on knife shafts measure slitting torque, enabling the PLC to adjust knife separation and maintain clean, burr-free edges. Laser edge sensors guide coil build, preventing telescoping. An HMI recipe library sets slit patterns, tension profiles, and speeds up to 200 m/min.

Customization Options

Lines process strip thicknesses from 0.15 mm to 4 mm and widths up to 2,000 mm. Optional micro-slitting modules deliver slit widths down to 2 mm. Layouts include straight, L-type, or U-type configurations to fit various shop floors.

Service and Maintenance

Commissioning support includes knife alignment, tension setup, and safety validation. Operator training covers knife change procedures, tension adjustment, and preventative maintenance routines. A recommended spare parts package includes knives, bearings, and pneumatic seals to minimize downtime.
