Shijiazhuang Faith Machinery Co.,Ltd’s Stainless Steel (SS) Coil Slitting Lines are engineered for the precise cutting of high‐alloy strip, ensuring corrosion‐resistant surfaces remain unmarred and slit edges meet stringent finish requirements for sectors such as food processing, pharmaceuticals, and chemical equipment manufacturing.

1. Coil Handling and Decoiling
Coils up to 25 tons are handled by motorized coil cars and mandrel decoilers with corrosion‐resistant internals. Mandrels use polished stainless‐steel sleeves and PFA‐coated contact surfaces to prevent contamination and galling of the strip interior.

2. Tension Leveling with Surface Protection
A dedicated tension leveler equipped with ceramic‐coated rolls eliminates coil set and winding marks without compromising the strip’s passive oxide layer. Load‐cell feedback in the leveler ensures tension consistency within ±3 N, critical for preserving surface finish on stainless alloys.

3. Precision Slitting Mechanism
Rotary knives fabricated from high‐speed steel (HSS) with wear‐resistant coatings shear the strip into widths from 5 mm to 1,000 mm. Knife holders on ball‐screw actuated carriages permit micro‐adjustments of knife gap, supporting tolerances as tight as ±0.1 mm. Automatic gap calibration routines use torque feedback to confirm correct setting before production begins.

4. Edge Treatment and Cleaning
Post‐slitting, optional brush and air‐knife stations remove fine edge burrs and particulates. A final blow‐off using HEPA‐filtered air ensures strip surfaces meet cleanliness standards required for hygienic applications. Trim scrap is collected via vacuum conveyor to maintain a clean production environment.

5. Recoiling and Coil Build
Recoilers with stainless‐steel mandrels and non‐metallic support discs rewind slit strips at speeds up to 150 m/min. Edge‐tracking laser sensors maintain precise coil alignment, while variable wrap tensions accommodate differences in strip thickness (0.3 mm to 4 mm) and width.

6. Automation and Quality Assurance
A Beckhoff PLC system synchronizes decoiler, leveler, slitter, and recoiler. The TwinCAT HMI displays real‐time tension profiles, knife torque curves, and coil build statistics. All batch data—including coil ID, material grade, slit pattern, and operator ID—are logged for full traceability and regulatory compliance.
